Review of Harrington Brothers Heating & Cooling

Contracted HB to install heater and air conditioner in 2009. Installation was OK but sloppy. Paid $145 to service both units two months ago in Aug (2012). At the end of October, when the temp got below 40F, the heater started shutting down sporadicly. Called HB on Sunday, left voicemail. No response. Their maintenance dept is closed on Sundays. Called another HVAC company. Turns out nothing was broken. There was a dirty part that should have been cleaned during routine maintenance...for which HB charged me $145. Called HB - would not refund or even apologize. Did not care about retaining my business. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. Stay away - they do not stand by their work. Buyer beware

Yes we do stay by our work, but we were not given a chance to see what the homeowners problem was. We don't offer 24 hr or 7 day a week service, we are 5 day a week and normal working hours. If tempatures are in the extreme will we check messages on weekends. There was a 3 month period when things can happen to mechanical equipment. We called him back on Monday but didn't get an answer.
