Review of T-Bones Deli & Meat Market Bar & Grill

by Tina Unknown on 2/2/2012
The owner needs to learn a little bit about customer service. I don't think I have ever been treated so badly. The service was terrible and the food was mediocre at best. I will not be back. It's unfortunate as I am a Lotawana resident and intend to spread the word.

I would like to send my apologies to Tina & David. Our goal is to serve good food fast. We are not fancy but we want our customer's to get the best and freshest meal possible. We do aim to please and I am so sorry that you did not have a wonderful meal. I sent you a letter of apology to your house and would love for you to give us a second chance. I truly want to be here to service the lake and surrounding community. Jane Scheid

Jane Scheid - I have been in your quaint store and enjoyed your fantastic fare. If this unpleasant person is true to their word, then they will not be back, as they stated, and that will be the best for all. Just reading Tina Unknown's review, and your apology makes me appreciate the kind of business owner you are and the kind of clientel you shouldn't be upset about loosing. Everyone else will talk too and give their friends the truth - T Bones is great!!!--another lake resident

I have had almost evey Item on Rex and Jane's menu and have never had anything that wasn't incredible! As far as customer service goes, Rex and Jane have made me and my family feel as if we were their family. It is unfortunate that you as a lake resident would ever want to "spread the word" on another Lake Resident that has brought a incredible establishment to our community. It is apparent that you must be from Johnson County and don't appreciate the finer simpler things that Lotawana offers

It is unfortunate that some people seem to live only by the negative. It is unfortunate that "Tina Unkown" has joined those that enjoy the negative. I would enjoy comparing notes on T-Bones Deli and Meat Market. I know for sure that "Tina" would lose. My wife and I are Odessa, MO residents and believe Lake Lotawana residents are very lucky to have this excellent restaurant/Meat Market/Convenience/Liquor Store in their neighborhood. T Bones is the best kept secret in all of Lees Summit and greater Kansas City. My wife and I discovered T-Bones recently and enjoyed our first dinner there on Saturday evening. The food was outstanding, and the service and friendliness, the best. T Bones is our new favorite place to eat. We both ordered pork chops, hers, an oriental recipe, and mine a wonderful Smoked/BBQ. The whole meal was fantastic. We also took home some items from the market home for our Super Bowl party. It was enjoyed by everyone. We will be back soon, hopefully, this coming Saturday night and will bring friends. I could write more glowing remarks, but let it suffice that we discovered, we came, enjoyed it immensely, and will return ASAP.

To the people that have commented on my review... You have no idea what the situation was. Just because you had a better experience than my family did doesn't mean that what I'm saying or feeling isn't true or valid. My Father-in-Law who is 75 years old and has suffered numerous strokes was treated like an idiot by Jane. She rolled her eyes at him several times and at one point simply walked away while he was talking to her. It truly was a horrible experience especially to see an elderly member of your family be treated that way. Jane, I do appreciate your apology but I just can't take the chance on being treated like this a second time. By the way...to the person that said that I must be from Johnson County...I'm not...and you're an idiot.

I was just there and have to agree. Normally these little operations with average food get by on superior service. This place was underwhelming on both points. I'd rather go to Gates and get screamed at. At least the food is good at Gates.
