About Us

Many moons ago, in 2003 to be exact, we found that there was a dire need for a Japanese restaurant that takes sushi seriously. So after preparing roll after roll and perfecting flavor after flavor, Wasabi was born smack dab in the middle of the United States — St. Louis, Missouri.

But relax, we don't fish in the Mississippi River.

Since we opened that first Wasabi location, we have prided ourselves on our authentic, mouth-watering Japanese cuisine and extensive menu selections. From sushi to sake and sashimi to nigiri, we offer the freshest ingredients from the coast in a refreshing atmosphere close to home.

If sushi is not your cup of sake,

No worries — we have something for every palette. Enjoy a succulent seaweed salad while sipping on an Asian Pear Sake Mojito. Or try our traditional recipe for crispy Teriyaki Chicken that will guarantee no leftovers. Yeah, it's that good.

A: Wasabi Rewards Cards are free! Next time you dine-in, just tell your server that you'd like to join our rewards program. You'll get your card that day, and you'll accumulate points during all of your future visits!

Q: How does it work?
A: Use your card every time you eat at any Wasabi Sushi Bar. Your server will swipe it to load the points you earned during that visit.

Q: What are the rewards?
A: You earn 1 point for every dollar spent* at Wasabi. After you earn 100 points, we'll give you $5 back on your card. We'll also give you a free dessert on your birthday!

Want to be your own sushi chef? Join us for Wasabi Culinary to learn how to make your own sushi! Wasabi Culinary meets at 6:30 the first Monday* of the month May through October at our Wasabi Culinary Classroom in Webster Groves. For $25, you'll make your own nigiri and maki, learn the proper way to eat them, and be treated to other favorite Wasabi dishes. We promise a rockin' and sushi rollin' time!
