About Us

We are located in Summit Fair shopping center off 470 and US 50 Highway in Lee’s Summit, this bakery is also adjacent to Summit Woods Crossing.

Smallcakes is a locally owned company that opened in Overland Park, KS in July 2009. Since its phenomenal success, additional locations opened in Olathe, KS (2010); as well as Lee’s Summit, MO (2011) and Parkville, MO (2012).

Smallcakes in Lee’s Summit features cute, striped walls and a modern but intimate atmosphere. Owner Kristi Jasinski bakes up to 15 different flavored, delicious cupcakes daily, plus some of her own custom creations like Cranberry Orange and Banana Nut. From an after school snack to a favorite way to celebrate birthday parties, family gatherings and weddings, Smallcakes offers a variety of flavors including the famous Red Velvet cupcake to the Campfire S’more to flavors inspired by the classic Hostess Cupcake.

Smallcakes has appeared on the Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” twice,  the daytime talk show “The View,” and one of the official bakery sponsors for the MTV Music Awards.

Giving back to the community is important to Smallcakes. The Smallcakes’ Sweet Endings is a program that donates daily-unsold cupcakes to charitable partners. Smallcakes in Lee's Summit is a big supporter of the Kansas City Hospice House.
