About Us

Betty J. Schuster received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her Certified Financial Planner designation from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Ms. Schuster began her career in finance in the banking industry. She was Vice-President, Financial Services, managing the trust and investment divisions prior to becoming a Registered Representative. Ms. Schuster became an agent with the Principal Financial Group® in 1987 with a primary focus in financial strategies, insurance and investments. Through the years she has grown her business and is now the Owner and Senior Financial Planner at Schuster Financial Services (SFS). She is registered to sell mutual fund products as well as individual stocks and is licensed by the Missouri Department of Insurance to sell life, disability and health insurance.

Ms. Schuster received her Life Underwriters training Council designation in 1992 and is a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters and Financial Planning Association. She became a qualifier for the Million Dollar Round Table in 1994, has qualified every year since, and most recently as a consistent Court of the Table qualifier.

Ms. Schuster ranks in the top 5% of agents with the Principal Financial Group® based on total sales and serves on the companys Agents Advisory Council representing agents from around the country. Ms. Schuster has spoken at various industry functions on a local and state level and is a member of the Columbia area Estate Planning Council. In addition, she teaches financial planning classes for women through local adult education programs.

Ms. Schuster has served as President of Womens Network (the largest division of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce). She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Columbia Insurance Group and is a past board member of various community organizations including the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, United Way and Woodhaven Learning Center. She and her husband, Larry, reside in Columbia with their two sons and are members of the Evangelical Free Church.
