Glidewell Construction is a family-owned company that has been serving the Columbia, MO community since 1976. Here at Glidewell we pride ourselves on our strong work ethics, attention to detail, superior framing knowledge, excellent coordination and supervisory skills. With over 38 years of experience, Glidewell Construction has an extensive list of references available with a number of past clients willing to show off their Glidewell home.
We have handpicked our framing crews and trim carpenters. Our staff is among the most reputable sub-contractors and many of them have been with us since the very beginning. Our team members are professional and reliable; we are confident you will feel comfortable having them in your home.
At Glidewell our main goal is service and we make a point of being accessible to our clients. We are conveniently located in the Colonies office complex on Forum Boulevard, Suite F in Columbia, MO. We have multiple phones lines so all of our staff can answer your questions whether they are at the office or on the go.
We are fully insured and licensed for your protection. Also we are members of the Columbia Chapter of the Home Builders Association. After nearly fifty years, we decided to build our first home in Columbia, Mo. We purchased a one acre lot in the central southwest area, and interviewed several local contractors, and agreed upon Rod Glidewell. We detailed the specs and costs with Rod; as our project progressed toward any decision juncture, Rod would come to us defining what we had agreed to. Alternatives would be:(A) more detail, more cost: (B) less detail, less cost. We ended the project with a lovely home within our expectations!! We highly recommend Rod Glidewell.

Rod and his crew did a fantastic job on our home remodel/addition. We looked at A LOT of local contractors before finding Glidewell and we could not have been more satisfied.
Rod is straightforward, no-nonsense, honest and very dependable contractor who does amazing work. We had several ideas of what we wanted and he worked with us every step of the way to turn our dream into reality with minimal inconvenience and a quick turnaround.
If we ever have more work done in Columbia our first (and last) phone call will be to Glidewell Construction.

Glidewell Construction has completed several major renovation projects for us over the years with outstanding quality, efficiency and integrity. Rod Glidewell is always very responsive, personally attentive and creative in helping us achieve our vision. He and his staff reflect the highest standards of craftsmanship and value. We think he is one of the best, if not the best, builder in Columbia.
