Past to Present

Freedom Cycles started when our enthusiastic owner, Mike Stanfield, starting selling Husqvarna motorcycles out of his garage. The first dealership opened it’s doors back in 1976 in Warrensburg, Missouri- the year of the bicentennial- sporting the name Freedom Cycles. Freedom Cycles remained in Warrensburg until opening a store in Grandview, Missouri in 1981.

To celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary, Mike and his wife Jenni built a 30,000 square foot building which became the current home of Freedom Cycles in 1995. In 2010, Freedom Cycles added their expansion to their existing building with a new 45,000 square foot showroom! Perfectly appropriate for their 45th wedding anniversary!

Freedom Cycles continues to be family owned and operated, currently carrying five major brands- Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris and KTM! We carry both new and used powersport vehicles so come by and take a look at our variety!

Freedom Cycles is very involved in the powersport industry with much of our staff being avid riders themselves. From off-road riders to track day riders, we have the experience to help you pick the best machine for you or the best parts, acccesories and riding apparel for you and the machine you already ride. Even our owner, Mike Stanfield is an avid rider continuing to participate in local races and even in DAKAR 2011! Mike will return to Argentina, Chile and now Peru to ride in DAKAR 2012!
