EBT Restaurant is proud to offer a unique dining experience. Opened in honor of the Emery, Bird and Thayer department store, the restaurant boasts a collection of historical artifacts from a time long past. Two brass elevator cages, stained glass and hand-carved stonework reside in the dining room and came from the original downtown store that operated from the early 1900’s til the 1960’s. Personal service and the highest quality food are to be experienced at EBT for any occasion. Also offering Happy Hour Tue-Fri 4:30-6:30 in our bar and lounge, and live music Thursday – Saturday nights.

Executive Chef Tate Roberts has won a number of awards; Gold Fork, Best Business Lunch, etc. and has been in a number of local publications. The restaurant recently earned American Royal Grand Champion restaurant in an American Royal sponsored event.

Our recipe for the perfectly cook fish ... First, heat a skillet over medium-high heat with your cooking oil of choice. Just as the oil starts to smoke, lay your seasoned fish in the pan. Do not touch, shift, or move it while it cooks. Allow it to cook for 3-4 minutes, giving the sugars and proteins time to brown and caramelize. Flip and then finish cooking the fish in a 350 degree oven until done. The end result will be a crisp, browned outside and a delicious, flaky fish.
